1st Saturday Shop Small
Join us in downtown Forsyth on the first Saturday of each month for our special 1st Saturday Shop Small event. Enjoy the sweet life in Forsyth and look for the shopping and dining specials sure to please! And don’t miss out on the special treat — Forsyth Main Street sponsors a free concert and food trucks on those first Saturday nights— May through August!

Farmers Market Fridays
Every Friday beginning in May and lasting until October, purchase fresh fruits, vegetables, honey, dairy, homemade soap, and natural and organic goods from local farmers at the Forsyth Farmers Market. Stop by anytime 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 pm.
GA2 Central Georgia Circuit Shoot #7
Four clubs will hold eight events during this year’s Central Georgia Circuit Shoot. Event #7 will be held, September 16th, 2023, at Meadows Clay Sports.

The City of Forsyth, GA Bicentennial Celebration – EST. 1823
Join us Friday September 22, 2023 for the Retro Music Fest on the Square in downtown Forsyth, followed by two days (September 23 & 24) of celebration with ceremonies with elected officials, a historic photo tour displayed at he Forsyth City Hall, weekly Forsyth Facts published in the Reporter and on social media, an aviation fly-over, live music, tethered hot air balloon rides, food trucks, games, arts & crafts, fireworks, a kid’s corner, historic walking tours and many other celebratory activities.
The Bicentennial Celebration will conclude with a birthday party and the interment of a time capsule near the Bicentennial Legacy Tree, containing letters to the future from members of the community on December 9, 2023.

Sex, Sin and the C.I.A.
A C.I.A. agent gets caught in his own booby traps. He electrocutes himself, sets fire to himself, gets a bucket stuck on his head, and finally locks himself in his own handcuffs! Add to the inevitable chaos, a stranded televangelist, his innocent secretary (or is she?), an ex-marine caretaker, who isn’t what he seems to be, and a mysterious, glamorous neighbor, and you have a complex, laugh out loud comedy. On the stage September 29-October 8, 2023, in the Rose Theater.
11th Annual Anchor of Hope Golf Tournament
The Anchor of Hope Golf Tournament is hosted at River Forest in Forsyth on Columbus Day, Monday, October 14, 2024. The proceeds from the tournament serve families facing developmental disability by funding a monthly Parents’ Night Out respite program, a Supplemental Scholarship financial aid program, a monthly Parent Support Group, and allow the development of new programs to meet our community’s specific needs.
Pumpkin Patch and Sunday Shindig
Come out to Hamlin Hills for a Sunday Shindig on September 24, 2023 from 1 PM – 4 PM! The Pumpkin Patch will be open and Free Lance Ruckus will be playing live music!
Tri Not To Get Wet! High Falls State park
Looking for a fantastic Fall Triathlon? Then run, bike & paddle your way over on Saturday, Oct 7, 2023 at 8:30 am and join the Friends of High Fall State park for their Tri Not To Get Wet Triathlon. Afterwards, enjoy refreshments, race retellings and beautiful High Falls State Park! Its “Beautiful, Challenging, Fun!”
Green Tomato Festival
Missed getting your fried green tomatoes? Head over to nearby Juliette for the Green Tomato Festival, October 28-29, 2023, in celebration of the movie, Fried Green Tomatoes, that made Juliette world-famous. Eat at the delicious Whistle Stop Café, browse booths of goods made by local artisans, enjoy live music and rides for the kids, partake in the unique shops and boutiques of Juliette! 22nd Annual Monroe County Toy Run 2023
Join the fun and help support the CARE Cottage of Monroe County. The Monroe County Moose Lodge will be hosting musical entertainment after the run. Don’t miss out. Look for details to appear here in the fall of 2023.
