Join us in downtown Forsyth on the first Saturday of each month for our special 1st Saturday Shop Small event. Enjoy the sweet life in Forsyth and look for the shopping and dining specials sure to please! And don’t miss out on the special treat — Forsyth Mainstreet sponsors a free concert and food trucks on those first Saturday nights— May through August!
High Falls State Park

Pinocchio: Pinocchio tangles with tricksters, Fox and Cat, and Lampwick and his no-good buddies in the Land of Toys. Will he ever prove that he is good enough to become a Real Boy?
Shows will be performed at the Rose Theater November 2nd-3rd and November 6th-8th; 9:00 am, 10:30 am and 1:00 pm. each day, for school age children who visit The Rose on a field trip. There will be a show for the general public November 2nd at 4:30 PM.

Forsyth Hometown Holiday Parade
What can be better than starting the holidays with a parade? Why Santa of course! Join us in town for our 33rd Annual Hometown Holiday Parade on Thursday November 30, 2023. The lighted parade winds through downtown Forsyth, spreading holiday cheer to children and adults of all ages.
Voctave is an 11-member a cappella group from the Central Florida area. The group has performed with Grammy, Dove and American Music Award winners. With multiple #1 songs and albums on iTunes, Amazon and Spotify, Voctave has also ranked in the top 25 on Billboard Magazine’s charts. Voctave has received more than 150 million views on their videos. Appearing Friday, Dec 1st 2023 on the Monroe County Fine Arts Center stage.
Join other trivia contestants for Blake Morton’s Salty Trivia Tuesdays 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm at Jonah’s on Johnston! There will be prizes, family fun, and of course pizza!

Downtown Bolingbroke Annual Christmas Parade
Mark your calendars for Beautiful Downtown Bolingbroke’s 31st Annual Christmas Parade on Saturday December 9th. Come enjoy the parade festivities, food trucks, & Santa’s Workshop following the parade. Parade begins at 11am and route will be on Rivoli Road in Bolingbroke.
New Year’s Eve Block Party & Ball Drop
Looking for fun for the whole family on New Year’s Eve? Join Main Street on the historic Courthouse Square, December 31st, 2024 at 8:00 pm, for live entertainment. It is a party! So, tap your toes, dance, eat, and have lots of fun! Stay for the midnight countdown and Ball Drop too!
First Day Hike
Want to start the new year off with a bang? Then join us, January 1st, 2024 10:00 am – 11:30 am, at High Falls State Park to get that heart pumping on a moderate 3 mile hike. This is a guided hike on our Tranquility Trail. We will meet at the Tranquility Trail-head at 10:00 AM. Please dress for the weather and wear closed toed sturdy hiking shoes. Everyone is welcome, but the trail is not easily accessible for strollers. Free with $5 paid parking.

Groundhog Day Ceremony
Is winter here to stay, or is spring just around the corner? Groundhog Day is a popular North American tradition observed in the United States and Canada every year starting in the 16th century. Announcing whether a groundhog sees its shadow after it emerges from its burrow allegedly predicts the arrival of spring. Visit Dauset Trails Nature Center the morning of Friday Feb. 2, 2024, to find out what General Beauregard Lee has to say at sunrise. The main gate will be open by 6:00 AM. This free ceremony will be 7:30 am – 10:30 am.
Meadows Twilight Classic
Join Meadows Clay Sports for a night of fun under the lights during the 2023 Twilight Classic to be held November 10-12, 2023.

Take a guided tour of the two historic farm houses at Jarrell Plantation decorated for the season and learn about the history of Christmas traditions, from tree decorating and celebrations to cards, gifts and carols, and see how they changed between the 1800s and early 1900s. Takes place each weekend in December starting December 2nd from 1 PM – 4 PM.
